Sexual harassment is more common than we’d like to think. Despite recent cultural shifts, sexual harassment at work and other locations is still rampant in society. As a former
Deputy District Attorney, Samuel Dordulian is a highly trusted Los Angeles sexual harassment lawyer, and Dordulian Law Group was founded to protect the victims of sexual harassment and other types of sex crimes. When you’ve been the victim of sexual harassment, coming forward with your story can be terrifying, but here at Dordulian Law Group, we provide a supportive, no-pressure environment where you can seek justice on your own terms. While most instances of sexual harassment are related to sexual behavior, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission points out that the definition of “sexual harassment” extends to any harassment related to your sex. For instance, being discriminated against for being a man or a woman is sexual harassment even if the harassment isn’t overtly related to sexual behavior. The harasser doesn’t even need to be the opposite sex; men can harass men, and women can harass women. Whenever you’ve been harassed for your sex, you may be eligible to file a sexual harassment case.
Finding an attorney for sexual harassment in the workplace might be the last thing you’re thinking about after you’ve become the victim of sexual harassment. Being subjected to sexual harassment makes you feel unsafe in places where you once took your safety for granted, and unwanted sexual advances leave psychological scars that can take years to heal.
While the trauma of sexual harassment can make it hard to move forward, working with a qualified harassment attorney gives you the tools you need to get your life back on track. Not only can pursuing a sexual harassment case with the help of harassment lawyers result in monetary compensation, but taking legal action also gives you the chance to ensure that no one else goes through what you experienced. Sex offenders belong behind bars, not in the workplace, and if you allow expert lawyers for harassment cases to help you find your voice, you can work toward healing your trauma and grease the wheels of justice at the same time.
When you’ve become the victim of sexual harassment, it can seem like no one understands what you’ve been through.
