Jose Lozano, Hesperia Pastor/Foster Dad, Arrested for Sexual Abuse of 2 Girls

A San Bernardino County pastor and foster dad was arrested for sexually abusing two underage girls aged 10 and 16.

Jose Manuel Lozano, 54, a Hesperia resident, was taken into custody by law enforcement officials on April 25. He faces felony charges of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Minor, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s officials confirmed.

Hesperia Police Department officers conducted an investigation into Lozano after receiving allegations of sexual abuse of minors. A foster dad and pastor at a local church, Lozano was identified as a sexual assault suspect by San Bernardino County Sheriff’s detectives. The investigation is ongoing.

Jose Lozano was booked at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto and is currently being held in lieu a $5,000,000.00 bail.

Detectives indicated that Lozano may have sexually abused additional victims. Law enforcement officials released his photo in an effort to encourage others to come forward and report crimes.

Lozano is alleged to have committed “… continuous sexual abuse of minors” as a foster parent and pastor of a local church, authorities confirmed. Officials did not release the name of the church where Lozano had worked.

Child sexual abuse suspect Jose Lozano’s next court appearance is scheduled for Monday at the Victorville branch of San Bernardino County Superior Court.
